Entertainer Vemal is good to go to make his OTT debut with a web series named Vilangu. The series, which is set to stream on ZEE5 on February 18, is coordinated by Prashanth Pandiyaraj, who prior helmed GV Prakash Kumar’s Bruce Lee.
The 7-episode web series has Iniya assuming the part of Vemal’s significant other, while RNR Manohar and NIC Arts Chakravarthy assume vital parts as cops. Bala Saravanan and Munishkanth will likewise wear the khaki and give the entertainment to the series.
The main look of the series was delivered by Sivakarthikeyan on his Twitter account.
Charged as an edge-of-seat analytical spine chiller, Vilangu highlights Vemal as a cop who needs to research a baffling wrongdoing. “We are so used to seeing police stories set in urban areas. Notwithstanding, in Vilangu, we will perceive the way a cop from a rustic scenery settles a puzzling wrongdoing in Trichy,” says chief Prashanth.
On projecting Vemal, the chief says that he needed to break the ‘cop generalization’ that film has made. “I would have rather not show police like how they are displayed in the vast majority of our cop films. I needed them to seem as though a normal cop we consistently run over. Vemal fits impeccably to the job.”
Vilangu has cinematography by Dinesh Kumar Purushothaman (a partner of DOP Balasubramaniem), music formed by Ajeesh (Pambhu Sattai, Sarbath), and altering by Ganesh (of Koozhangal and D-Block popularity).
